There are some product of bait launcher and hauler for beach longline fishing, the shape is look like torpedo or fishing torpedo, suitable for recreational purpose or even fishing maniac, at this time I would like to post the product information from ”Kentiki” fishing bait launcher and hauler.
Kentiki
Ken Smith’s family have been fishing the Wanganui coastline and river for four generations from the 1800′s when George (Artesian) Smith arrived to sink artesian wells for the fledgling settlement.
From their home at Sandy Hook on the Whanganui River fishing from the water’s edge has been the family passion – whether it be for whitebait or snapper.

It was no surprise then that when Ken Smith met fellow enthusiast Fred Snowdon on a beach in the 1970′s that the search for the perfect longline hauler began. A great variety of hull shapes and timing mechanisms with petrol motors were trialled by the two men in an attempt to refine the product.

However. it was the decision in the 1990′s to go electric using battery power and Mercury outboards that accelerated the quality of the machine to a point where it was a marketable product.
The Kentiki branding and trademark was designed and formulated by George’s great-granddaughter Tracy Smith.
The Kentiki has a Proven Record.
There are few fishing experiences more exciting than pulling in a longline, whether it be at sea or from shore.

The anticipation of the catch and that first sight of a dinner emerging from its watery home cranks up the interest level and pulls in the onlookers. There are at least 10 different models of electric kontikis now being commercially produced, the range catering for all price levels and performances. Like with most consumer goods these days you ‘get what you pay for’ as the expression goes. Ken Smith’s Kentiki is at the top end of the market, deservedly so after spending so long being improved upon, and having excellent feedback from many satisfied customers over the last half a dozen years.”
(Article from Bay Fisher, Issue No 61, November 2003, by Editor Colin Bertelsen)
The Kentiki range of products includes Longline Hauler, Retrieval Unit (Winch), Special Sinker, Hook Box, Bike Carrier (fits 4 wheel motor bikes – Hondas and Kawasakis) and Sand Trolley Wheels. All can be purchased individually or as a package. The Kentiki hauler also comes complete with the owner’s ID engraved on the keel.
Surf Bait Launcer – Beach Bait Louncher
Comes complete with 2 batteries, automatic battery charger, night-activated strobe light, flag, 2 sinkers and 30lb thrust Mercury motor.

While incorporating the successful features of previous models, the new Kentiki is manufactured with a one-piece rotationally moulded body that features a smoother hull line, thus providing less resistance through the water.
The manufacturing process involved in producing the single polyethylene unit results in increased strength essential for survival in the wild waters of the New Zealand coastline.
Beach Longline Winch Hauler
The winch is constructed of marine grade alloy which makes it light and strong. When spooled with 1500 metres of nylon (including the crimp section) it weighs 10kgs less than some others available.

The Kentiki winch is user-friendly with a built-in brake to prevent over-runs, and also a removable spool. The motor is protected by a 16amp cut-out switch which is designed to stop the motor in the event of the line being snagged.
The owner’s name can be stamped onto the frame for easy identification.
